Musical Instruments Project
ReflectionThis project turned out great. Our three instruments turned out good. Our designs might not have been accurate at first and our first builds didn't quite work at first, but we kept at it until our instruments worked properly. As a group we did not work together much. We kept to ourselves, but we did a lot of good work and if we did need help we helped each other out. I learned it sometimes takes a lot of tries to get something right. I also learned that I do not like designing or calculating. I rather have a basic understanding then go through using trial and error. That is probably why I had to try so many times. The instruments we had were not perfect, but I think there still pretty good. Even if the instruments do not work properly at times I think that is good that we a least know the theory and how instruments sound and waves are suppose to work.

In this project we had to design three instruments. One air, string, and percussion instrument. Which had to be able to play a seven note scale. My group made a recorder, electric bass, and chimes. We had to learn about sound and waves so we were able to make our instruments play different notes. The recorder is a air instruments because it makes sound by someone blowing into it. The electric bass was our string instruments which produces sound by using strings. The chimes we made created sound using the natural frequency of the material.
